I remember when my Uncle Joey got married. I was 11 and thought my heart would break because he was “my guy”. He would come visit my family and he would drive me around in his convertible while he blared the sound track to “Top Gun” (hey, it was the 80’s after all). Anyway, I felt like the coolest girl in 7th grade hanging with my Uncle. So, naturally when he married, my pre-teen brain was not amused that I had been replaced. And replaced by this gorgeous blonde woman who my Uncle wanted to spend all of his time with. Lucky for me, our entire family also fell in love with my Aunt Janet...but the moral of this post is to remind all brides and grooms out there to give the Littles (even the big Littles) a bit of extra love and attention before and on the big day. After all, children adore these grown ups who have asked them to act as flower girls and ring bearers. One last thing...Uncle Joey and Aunt Janet have been married for over thirty years!!
